How long will Haunted Burrow Books be in the current space?

HBB's lease is until May of 2026. Other than that, no one knows! When we have more information, we'll share!

 

Do you sell gift cards?

Yes! We sell e-cards that you can email to yourself or your giftee. You can buy them in store or online Here! Thank you!

 

What is your return policy?

30 days with the book in good condition and your receipt. The money will be returned to the original form of payment (e.g., same credit card).

 

Do you buy used books?

Yes! On Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and by appointment. Please do not come when there is an event on the calendar, including off-site events, as Roxanne will not be available to buy your books.

We buy horror, contemporary fantasy, sci-fi, and occult books. Sorry, no pre-2000's fantasy (except Sabriel and LOTR), RPG books or RPG fiction, general fiction, or detective books. Please make sure the books are mold-free and have limited dust.

We generally pay half of what we expect to sell the book for, and we try to sell paperbacks and new release hardcovers at half their SRP (usually on the barcode). Older hardcovers and books in less than good condition sell for less. That means that for paperbacks and new release hardcovers in good condition, you can expect 1/4 of the retail price.

 

Will you have XYZ book when it comes out?

We'd love to have it available for you on release day! Please let us know a week ahead of time so we can order it in time for it to arrive by its release.

 

How do I get rid of that awful sticker residue?

Goo Gone! It's a miracle adhesive remover. I (Roxanne) tested it on the adhesive for the stickers we use for used, discounted, and unpriced books, and it works well on what I tested. Just be careful not to get the liquid on your book pages.

 

I'm a Seattle indie author. How do I get my book on your shelf?

We're happy to stock indie authors local to Seattle at HBB. If you are a Seattle author who has a horror, sci-fi, fantasy, occult, or mystery book, please contact us for our light vetting process. No need to send a pitch, just the genre, title, and your author name.

 

I'm an indie artist/crafter. How do I get my prints/hats/etc into your store?

Unfortunately, HBB is full for sidelines right now, including art. Please do not send samples, as we have nowhere to put them and we can't afford to send them back.
